"I WANTED TO FUCK YOUR MUM, JUST SAYING."

A second airing of the worldwide teaser trailer will air on Wednesday from 6:00am – 6:15am EST (3:00am -3:15am PST) EST as well. The coordinates to pick up this feed are as follows:

Galaxy 28, Transponder 19, C-Band Analog
Downlink Frequency: 4080V
Audio Configuration: 6.2/6.8

[WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN?]

We at TLC believe that the teaser trailer will go online soon after the satellite airing and we will update you as soon as we can.

In addition to this, WB included a short synopsis of the sixth film. Quoteage:

Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort’s defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn’t counted on Romilda Vane’s chocolates! And then there’s Hermione, simmering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.
“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” will be released in theaters on November 21, 2008.

SOURCE!

Ugh, fuck the hormones shit.

And I finally saw Dark Knight...just saying. :D Loved it, of course.

ETA: Damn bbs, I'm not fucking saying TDK > HP. I'm saying that they don't have to concentrate on promoting TDK anymore and are concentrating more on the next major WB movie. How can anybody even compare TDK to the fucking HP movies?

[feverously]

So I read the most hilarious interview last night because I could just picture this whole thing going down in my head. Reggie Bush had to defend his lady Kim Kardashian when Travis Barker’s on again off again wife Shanna Moakler attacked her at a recent party. Apparently Kim tried numerous times to sleep with travis while he was married to Shanna and while Kim was with Reggie. Peep this snippet from an interview Shanna just did with TheDirty.com:

Nik Richie: Yea, we heard you had a little altercation with someone at Carmen Electra’s bbq. Is that true?

Shanna: Yea! I was at this bbq and I saw what I thought was a donkey posing on the stairs but much to my surprise, it was Kim Kardashian. No, wait, it was a donkey! She’s soooo f*cking fat! She’s 5′2″ and she’s like 140. She was wearing a sarong to cover her huge big ass! I like a nice ass but hers is not a nice ass!

Nik Richie: Not nice?! I’m surprised it even fits through a door!

Shanna: Anyway, I saw her and she was standing next to Carmen (Electra) for her press op, of course. I thought I was going to be at this bbq with friends so when I saw her I simply had zero desire to be there. I was walking out but the sheer site of her makes me ill. I actually feel bad for Paris (Hilton). Okay, maybe not, but sort of. This girl totally uses her! I walked by her and just told her that she was lucky to be standing next to Carmen. I was trying to respect her (Carmen Electra) party but then the east coast came out of me and I threw my drink on her (Kim Kardashian). I decided I was tired of being the moral police! I went to grab my things and go when my girlfriend asked me where I was going. I just told her I absolutely didn’t want to be there if that whore was there. Then, Reggie comes up and says (Shanna switches to a Mr. T voice) “YO! Be careful what you say!” And I was like “Your girls a whore!” and he said it again - “Be careful what you say.” and I just told him again - “Your girl’s a whore!” I seriously don’t understand, can someone explain to me why these men defend these girls who literally have a different tongue in them every night?! If your woman wants to f*ck married men and ruin families, you better expect a pissed of ex-wife is going to come out! It floors me when they’re so shocked and awed by this! Ugh, so he (Reggie) came in and was trying to be really nice and I actually liked him! I just felt bad for him because he was defending her and he has no clue why I was event upset. …I’ve got some e-mails he should probably read.

OMFG! Drama. Too juicy!

Courtney Love hates on Trent Reznor [24 Jul 2008|12:03pm]

fama
Current mood: relaxed

Hey! You were referencing Reznor. You know the guy who was a graphic design major? Heir to a massive fortune on Reznor heaters? The guy who came up with NIN logo, then the band name, then a band? Details once said we had a thing. That's not news. It was what it was. I didn't take it too much more seriously than him. I won't give TMI, but the black terry cloth robes with the bands names embroidered in gold, the cat scratches on my door at night, the endless head holding her and secrets and horror stories, I have never repeated.

He was in his prime and well, fuck me he had that dammed song, "and yooooou can have it all, my empire of shit." I don't care. All the sports bar shit just melted for every girl in the house and me too. I admit it- that song was like watching Hamlet and boy did he know it. Girls crying with love for him in a rock star way, the groupies and cocaine usage, that I thought went out with hair bands.

We didn't have groupies. We had competitive girls in OTHER BANDS. I had competition then. Now, I do not. I suppose because its not an economic or particularly social model that's very easy to pull off; being class clown until the fucking record comes out. I could've put out a perfectly good, even great, record, but it wasn't enough. I'm sorry. I'm aiming for the moon and the moon I shall have. Even if it sells one copy, I will know in my heart, I did the very, very best, to the best of my ability, to leave a legacy of greatness behind.

With plans for a rich future together, “The Hills” co-star/lovers Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are looking to move up in the world with the purchase of a new place to call home.

The reality star duo spent Wednesday afternoon (July 23) looking at multi-million dollar properties in Malibu, California - being escorted through the luxurious spreads by a personal realtor.

According to inside sources, Heidi and Spencer first viewed a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom beachfront home that was listed for rent at a cool $90,000 per month.

After some smooches on the balcony, the peroxide pair then ventured over to check out another property in the hills that was listed for sale at just under $12 million.

Awkward and Uncomfortable Looking Sex in the 'Big Brother' House

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

For once, we’re glad that us Brits have a reputation for being prudes, as we couldn’t bear seeing this sort of thing on our own Big Brother. In the US version, which is airing at the moment, housemates Ollie and April have been openly shagging – ewwww! In this clip which is not for the faint-hearted, you can even hear April saying, “You have to pull out” as they go at it under some blankets – but with the lights on! Yuck, yuck, YUCK! Seriously, don’t watch it if you’re easily offended – it’s basically porn, albeit porn for foot fetishists (that camera-man bloody loves those toes, doesn’t he?).

Little to believe in with new `X-Files' movie
By CHRISTY LEMIRE – 1 hour ago

The makers of the new "X-Files" movie have done themselves a disservice in coming up with the elongated title, "The X-Files: I Want to Believe." Really, it just invites a whole bunch of bad jokes which, unfortunately, are justified.

It's easy to imagine how they might go: I want to believe another "X-Files" movie is necessary, 10 years after the first one came out and six years after the pioneering sci-fi series went off the air. I want to believe it's worth my time and money, even if I wasn't a fervent devotee of the TV show. And I want to believe that Mulder and Scully still have the same chemistry they once did — a big reason the series developed a cult fan base.

Well, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson do slip comfortably back into the roles that made them superstars in the 1990s, but the movie itself from director and "X-Files" series creator Chris Carter never feels like anything more than an extended episode. It lacks the complexity and scope required to rise to a theatrical level; it doesn't challenge us in any new or exciting ways. The big mystery? Just a rehashed urban legend.

In deference to the show's many secrets and twists, we won't give anything away here. We'll just say the plot involves a missing persons case, severed body parts and some creepy hunts and chases through the snow.

In writing the script, Carter and longtime collaborator Frank Spotnitz have come up with a stand-alone story, one that doesn't require expertise in "X-Files" minutiae to follow, although they've also left some nuggets for loyal fans along the way. The title itself is one of them, sorta: It's the phrase on a poster that hung in Fox Mulder's office.

These days, the former FBI agent spends all his time hiding in his office at home, clipping articles about the same kinds of unexplained phenomena he used to investigate and obsessing, still. Meanwhile, the no-nonsense Dana Scully, the doctor he was paired with, is practicing at a hospital. (The appropriately named Our Lady of Sorrows.) But when FBI agents Whitney (a severely thin Amanda Peet) and Drummy (rapper Alvin "Xzibit" Joiner) approach her about finding Mulder to help them track down a missing colleague, she gets dragged back into the fray, too. Billy Connolly co-stars as a fallen priest who may or may not be experiencing psychic visions; he and Anderson, as the ever-doubtful Scully, have a couple of intense exchanges.

But you immediately know it's of no use when Scully says to Mulder: "I'm done chasing monsters in the dark." And that's one of the few compelling parts of "I Want to Believe" — the fact that these two are once more searching for answers, together, bickering and bantering along the way. Duchovny can still whip out a wicked one-liner, and his character's dark humor is crucial when things threaten to turn too self-serious. Anderson still brings grace and gravitas as his straight-laced foil.

Their work on "The X-Files" turns out to have been the best of both actors' careers — though Duchovny was great in the little-seen satire "The TV Set," and won a lead-actor Golden Globe this year for "Californication" — and it is indeed a pleasure to see them team up again. Too bad Carter and Co. couldn't come up with a feature-length film that rises to the occasion. The definitive "X-Files" movie may not be out there after all.

"The X-Files: I Want to Believe," a 20th Century Fox release, is rated PG-13 for violent and disturbing content and thematic material. Running time: 104 minutes. Two stars out of four.

Cartoonist Who Created The Joker Discusses 'The Dark Knight'

NEW YORK The actor who plays the Joker in a blockbuster 2008 movie is gone. The cartoonist who created the Joker in 1939 is still around.

He's Jerry Robinson, and he thinks the late Heath Ledger's acting turn in "The Dark Knight" is "a tour de force."

"A brilliant performance," said Robinson, 86, when E&P reached him by phone at the currently running Comic-Con in San Diego. "Very nuanced. The Joker is psychotic, but you believe in Heath's portrayal."

How does Ledger's portrayal of the supervillain compare with Jack Nicholson's hammy turn in the 1989 "Batman" film? "They're really different," replied Robinson, who has also had a long career in newspaper cartooning and syndication. "Nicholson made him kind of a mad terrorist. It wasn't exactly the most interesting view of him. It was more of a satirical, TV take on the Joker -- though it was a great performance."moar. )

Polite Applause Follows Comic-Con Pilot Screening

At the Comic-Con "preview night" in San Diego Wednesday, J.J. Abrams made a a pre-taped appearance to introduce the 81 minute and 30 second long pilot of Fringe, the new Fox series scheduled to air on Tuesdays, starting Sept. 9. Abrams joked that it may have been 30 seconds too long, but for some of the few hundred people present, it may have been too long by more than just that half a minute.

A.V. Club interviews Gillian Anderson [24 Jul 2008|02:26pm]

ohnotheydidnt

[mysidewayshalo]
[ mood | dorky ]

It isn't hard to feed the mythology of the X-Files franchise. Thanks to the steady rise of DVD sales and the Internet since the show's 1993 debut, it's a beast that has found a way to nourish itself untended over the years. The fact that a major studio would bankroll a sequel (of sorts) to a film from a decade ago, based on a television program that limped to its conclusion in 2002, is a testament to the show's enduring mystique. The X-Files: I Want To Believe has been shrouded in secrecy, and its cast has been directed to remain hush-hush about plot points, though that's probably as much a marketing ploy as a legitimate concern for the show's creator (and I Want To Believe's director) Chris Carter. It's a conspiracy wrapped up in a mystery, and it's just the kind of thing that plays upon the anticipation of its devoted throng. Gillian Anderson returns as the scientific, skeptical FBI Special Agent Dana Scully. On the eve of the release of I Want To Believe, without having seen more than the film's trailer, The A.V. Club sat down with Anderson to discuss co-star David Duchovny, "anal efforts," Sri Lankan fanboys, and the art of answering "sucky" questions.

Jason Bateman Says A 'Bent And Twisted' Story Is Ready For 'Arrested Development' Movie

'It's a long, sort of drawn-out, complicated business process,' actor says of what's holding up the film.

Six months after teasing MTV with news that an "Arrested Development" movie was in the very earliest of stages, "Hancock" star Jason Bateman told an assembled crowd Tuesday night that the Bluths were almost certainly heading to the big screen — and boy will it be strange.

"It's typically bent and twisted," Bateman said of the story concocted by series mastermind Mitchell Hurwitz. "He's got a really, really good idea for the movie version that would not be just simply the equivalent of four episodes back to back to back. It's actually something that would be specific to the medium of film."

A bent and twisted script is exactly what devoted fans of the series would hope for and expect. After all, "Arrested Development," which was canceled in February 2006, introduced such topics as the Never Nude, the puppet Franklin Delano Bluth, and "a family friend with only one arm!"

Bateman smiled. "Who thinks up that [stuff]?"

So what's the holdup? Not Bateman, certainly. And not anyone else actually involved in the show, he insisted. It's the Bluths' biggest problem that threatens to delay the film indefinitely: money.

"We all want to do it. All the actors want to do it, the writers want to do it, and the boss wants to do it. And they are working on making a deal, probably as we speak," Bateman said. "But it's a long, sort of drawn-out, complicated business process. 'Arrested Development' is such a specific tone, it doesn't lend itself to mass appeal, as played out by the fact that it's canceled. So it has to be done for a price. They can't spend the money they spent on 'Hancock.'

"So they have to shoot it for a small price, and we have to figure out if we can do it for that price," he continued. "They're working it out, and hopefully we'll be able to know something in the next month."

In the meantime, keep the series alive, Bateman said — even if you do it by accosting him in the streets.

"When people come up to me [to talk about 'Arrested Development'], I'm right there with 'em," he laughed. "There's some narcissism in it!"
